A Naturopath treats the whole body - mind, body and spirit. A Traditional Naturopath is a health consultant that can provide care through natural methods focusing on nutrition, supplementation, and lifestyle modification. A Naturopath believes in the body's natural ability and affinity for self-healing.
No, I’m not a medical doctor. As a Doctor of Natural Medicine and Certified Traditional Naturopath I practice and believe in the healing power of nature to restore the vital source of the body. A naturopath practices under Hippocrates foundation of “first do no harm”, through this we use a combination of holistic methods that is best adapted to each individual person's case.
While I greatly appreciate your trust in me, this is not my specialty. I am a facilitator for you in your health journey, an interpreter of the clues your body is giving us to ask for support, and a utilizer of non-invasive and natural modalities to increase vital force and balance. Sometimes, our health journey requires invasive interventions to sustain life or prevent failure of body systems and this is not something I provide as a naturopath. I do not diagnose, prescribe, or inject. Therefore, maintaining a relationship with a primary care allopathic practitioner should be strongly considered.
A Naturopath/Holistic Health Practitioner or Doctor of Natural Medicine is not a medical doctor. A Naturopath will never diagnose, prescribe medications, or treat any medical conditions. Should you require medical or therapeutic attention you may be referred to an MD.
Natural remedies and modalities are gentle and safer than most pharmaceuticals. Research shows that naturopathy is safe and effective for several conditions. Since it focuses on lifestyle modifications like diet, hydration, and sleep, and non-invasive therapies that encourage the body’s natural healing powers, it is considered safe. However, it is important to consult with a trained naturopath and share all medication you currently take, especially if supplements are suggested. While supplements are generally considered safe, some can have contraindications with pharmaceuticals that you need to be aware of so always speak with your naturopath or herbalist before taking any supplements.
When you schedule your appointment an intake form and consent will be emailed to you for you to complete at home. You will complete and return this form prior to your initial consultation.
Discover how natural holistic medicine can help you. This 90–120-minute session will provide you with your own wellness recipe created just for you. We will discuss your intake sheet and health concerns. Together we will take a comprehensive look at your lifestyle habits and create a formulate a natural health plan just for you. This wellness recipe may include lifestyle and dietary modifications, supplements and/or additional testing.
Follow-ups will generally occur every 4-6 weeks after your initial consultation. Over time these follow-ups may lengthen however it is recommended that your stay in contact with Kandis and to have a consultation 1-2 times per year or as needed should new concerns arise.
This will all depend on how committed you are to following the wellness recipe suggested. Improving your foundational health lifestyle is a wonderful thing to continue for long-term health and wellness. Committing to your foundations are the cornerstones for good health.
Naturopaths do not practice medicine. We don’t prescribe herbs for a specific health issue like a doctor would prescribe a medication. This being said, I would need to assess your current lifestyle and health habits in order to properly recommend lifestyle modifications and/or supplements in order to support your body in its natural healing.

Shape ReClaimed is a lifestyle modification program. Weight loss is one of the many positive side effects. The program works to first detoxify and stabilize the body. Clients will experience a reduction of inflammation, rebalancing of brain chemistry and metabolism, and healthy weight loss.
The Shape ReClaimed Program is 3 Phases:
1. CLEANSE
2. REBALANCE
3. LIVE
Together, you and your practitioner will establish a sustainable long-term plan and work together to change your lifestyle and reach optimal health.
An initial natural health consultation is required before one is eligible to start the SHAPE program. This is to access your current state of health and to ensure your body is ready to start the program.
